3D Imaging Technology

It is our goal to provide the best care for our patients, period. To meet this goal, we have incorporated many high-tech devices and procedures," relays Dr. Bhagia, "Therefore, we are delighted to now offer Cone Beam 3-D diagnostic technology to the patients who put their trust in us. We are best prepared to avoid any possible surprises and know more about their anatomy before we begin any treatment."

Dentistry's most accurate imaging. Space Center Orthodontics has chosen this technology to enhance treatment care for our patients. Using the i-CAT scanner's high resolution images, Dr. Bhagia, obtains highly accurate and detailed three-dimensional views of all anatomies such as bone, teeth, tooth orientation, tooth and nerve relation, airways and sinuses.

Safety and Convenience for Patients. Dr. Bhagia can now take an immediate scan for patients with lower radiation dosage and without the inconvenience of sending them to a diagnostic facility. Once the scan is complete, Dr. Bhagia is able to share an immediate visual diagnosis to help patients truly visualize and better understand treatment options.

What is an i-CAT Cone Beam and why is it better for you? I-CAT 3D Cone Beam CT is a digital x-ray scanner specifically designed for the head and jaws. The scanner rotates 360 degrees around the patients head in just a few seconds, taking up to 600 axial slices of the anatomy. A panoramic radiograph provides only a 2-dimensional image; all panoramic radiographs are distorted up to 300% in the horizontal plane and up to 50% in the vertical plane. The Cone Beam CT scan provides a 3-dimensional, high resolution, true size image of the patient's anatomy, distortion free, with about the same amount of the radiation as conventional dental x-ray machines use and a small fraction of a conventional CT machine. Nothing has to go into the mouth, making this a faster more comfortable appointment for the patients.
